Rifle Holders To Residents And Police At Green Mansion Daan Mogot Arrested

JAKARTA - A muggers using an airsoft gun with the initials F, who acted in the Green Mansion residential area, Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, Jakarta, were arrested by the police.

"The perpetrator immediately pointed the airsoft gun (air rifle) at the person's body," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Cengkareng Police, AKP Arnold quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 4.

When the incident happened, the perpetrator was holding the security guard on duty. The security guard named Billy was frightened and entered the residential area. He informed witness Aep of the incident, and immediately contacted Cengkareng Police Chief, Alex Agustino.

"The perpetrator was also a police officer. But Mr. Alex was successfully arrested, assisted by security and also local residents," he said.

The perpetrator was still able to speak fluently and clearly during interrogation. However, after a urine test, he tested positive for methamphetamine-type drugs.

There is strong suspicion that F used the rifle under the influence of drugs. Arnold said that his party was still investigating the background of the incident.

"We are still exploring the motive," he said.

F is threatened with being caught under Article 1 paragraph 2 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning possession of firearms without a license with the threat of 12 years imprisonment.
