2 Youths Arrested For Marijuana Congestion At Jakut Terminal

JAKARTA - The police arrested two youths with the initials RP and JI because they were able to pocket marijuana-type drugs when an operation was held to create conditions at Tanjung Priok Terminal, North Jakarta, Sunday, September 10, in the early hours of the morning.

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan said the two were secured to the Tanjung Priok Police Headquarters. The goal is for further investigation.

"Both of them have been secured along with the cannabis package," said Gidion in his statement, Sunday, September 10.

The Tanjung Priok Police Chief, Kompol Nazirwan, added that the evidence that was secured from the young man was 4.40 grams.

"We conducted a search and found dried marijuana packaged in white paper that was put into his cigarette," he said.

In addition to securing the marijuana perpetrators, Nazirwan said in the operation to create this condition, his party also carried out raids. As a result, there were 5 motorists who were ticketed, 4 motorbikes were taken to the Sector Police, because they did not bring foreign documents.

"5 drivers were ticketed. We took 4 motorbikes to the Sector Police," he concluded.
