Muhaimin Iskandara Plans To Visit Gus Dur's Grave

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar plans to make a pilgrimage to the Tomb of the 4th President KH Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur. Where, it is located in the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School Complex, Jombang, East Java.

"We will make a pilgrimage, after completing all the pilgrimage series for the parents of the songo (nine guardians) grave," said Deputy Secretary of the PKB Syuro Council Maman Imanul Haq quoting Antara.

Personally, he and the PKB Syuro board have made a pilgrimage to Makan Gus Dur and are well received by the family.

"After all, we always respect our parents," he said.

He explained that Gus Dur's figure in PKB was a parent, as well as a former president, so there was no word to hate each other. Even Gus Dur by most people has been considered as the 10th guardian.

Regarding the conflict between Muhaimin and Gus Dur's family, Maman emphasized that all parties only want to position all problems proportionally.

"We respect Gus Dur, respect his family, and of course there will be communication. We just need time later, who facilitates it," he asserted.

The PKB DPP conducted a tour and exploration of Wali Songo's struggles, 7-10 September 2023. According to schedule, the tour started with Cirebon visiting the Sunan Tomb of Mount Jati, then Demak visited the graves of Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Muria.

Then headed to Kudus to visit Sunan Kudus' grave, then Tuban visited Sunan Bonang's Tomb, and to Lamongan visited Sunan Drajat's Tomb.

The next route to Gresik visited the graves of Sunan Giri and Sunan Gresik and ended in Surabaya for the Sunan Ampel Cemetery pilgrimage.

Some time ago, the General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board KH Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) admitted that he was very confident that Gus Dur was a waliyullah ( GODs).

"Now it's true. Now Gus Dur is truly included in Wali Songo's official series of pilgrimage travel agencies to stop by Tebuireng and make a pilgrimage to the 10th guardian, Sunan Abdurrahman Wahid," said Gus Yahya in Gus Dur's 13th Haul in Jakarta.

Gus Yahya explained that if there is a large and complex heritage in NU tradition, it will be easily trusted as a mayor.

"So many NU kiai are believed to be Waliyullah because of the great heritage that can be considered on a scale of civilization," he said.

He mentioned that among them were Sheikh Kholil Bangkalan, Hadratussyekh KH Hasyim Asy'ari, KH Abdul Wahab Chasbullah, KH Abdul Hamid Pasuruan, and KH Ali Maksum Krapyak.
