Hit Mother And Child To Death In Siak, The Culprit Is A Truck Driver Arrested

RIAU - The Traffic Unit of the Tuakang Sector Police, Siak Regency, Riau Province, arrested the perpetrators of the hit-and-run which resulted in the death of two mother and child victims on the spot.

"The perpetrator was named Initial I (41) and we have secured the truck at the Siak Resort Police for further legal proceedings," said Head of Traffic Unit of the Tualang Police, Iptu A Ramadhan, Thursday.

He said the accident occurred on Jalan Raya Perawang Kilometer 15, West Perawang Village, Tualang District on Wednesday, September 6 morning.

Ramadhan explained that the chronology began when the mother was about to take her son to SMP 6 in West Maredian Village. But unfortunately, not yet ready to go to the location, the mother and child were hit by a truck and died.

The police rushed to the scene of the case to evacuate the victim to be taken to the Perawang Type D Hospital. The Tualang Police also conducted an investigation into the incident in the rainy conditions that morning.

The Head of the Traffic Unit then coordinated with the Minas Police Traffic Unit that the perpetrator of the hit-and-run was heading there. After pursuing along with other personnel assisted by local residents, it was found that a truck with a red door.

"The truck is parked on the Pertamina Hulu Rokan land not far from Jalan Lintas Perawang-Minas. I visited the driver and asked about the accident at KM 15. However, the perpetrator did not admit the incident," he said.

However, after interrogation of the perpetrators and the existence of this information from the public, the perpetrator finally admitted that he had hit his mother and child until he died.
