Shane Lukas' 5 Year Sentence Consideration: Damaged To David Ozora's Future

JAKARTA - The panel of judges has the consideration behind the 5-year prison sentence against Shane Lukas in the case of severe abuse. To the burdensome one, Shane Lukas' actions are considered to have damaged David Ozora's future. "The defendant's participation has damaged the future of the victim's child," said the judge during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, September 7. Originally, David Ozora had a diffuse axonal injury because the neural wire in the event was torn. Meanwhile, for mitigating considerations, the panel of judges considered that Shane Lukas had good faith. Even though it was too late, he had tried to stop the persecution by Mario Dandy Satriyo. "That with the defendant preventing further witness Mario's actions even though it is too late, it has resulted in more fatal consequences," said the judge.

For information, Shane Lukas was also sentenced to 5 years in prison by the public prosecutor. Then, he was also charged with paying a restitution of Rp120 billion. If they are unable to pay restitution, the prosecutor demands Shane's prison term to be increased by 6 months.
