The DPR's YouTube Account Has Been Hacked, The National Police Collaborates With BSSN-Kominfo

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the YouTube account of the DPR RI that was hacked so that it featured a video entitled 'casino slot' has been taken down. Currently, the recovery process is being carried out.

"Meanwhile, the hacked account has been successfully taken down and is currently in the recovery stage," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

Meanwhile, for the process of investigating this hacking action, a team from the Directorate of Cyber Crimes has been deployed.

In the investigation process, the Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) will cooperate with relevant stakeholders.

"Tim dari Direktorat Tindak Pidana Siber sudah turun untuk melakukan penyelidikan terkait kejadian tersebut, beserta stakeholder Siber, dalam hal ini dari BSSN dan juga dari Kominfo," kata Ramadhan.

The hacking of the DPR RI YouTube account took place this morning. As a result of the hack, the account denied the live broadcast of the slot gambling.

Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar said the Secretary General had taken steps by contacting related parties to restore the Youtube account belonging to the DPR RI.

"We have taken steps, since this morning we have contacted Indonesia's google for the recovery of the DPR's Youtube account. From the Google side, we have forwarded to the central Google for account recovery so that the DPR can use the account again," explained Indra.

"Meanwhile, from the internal IT, the Secretariat General also conducts manual recovery online from the google system independently," he added.
