Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) congratulated the pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar. AHY emphasized that he had moved on and was ready to welcome new opportunities in the upcoming 2024 election. "Today we, the family of the Democratic Party, are heartened, with humility, state that we move on and are ready to welcome the good opportunities ahead," said AHY in Jakarta, Monday, September 4. This country requires great thinking, soul and great action to produce change. Although previously promised to be a representative of Anies Baswedan, AHY asked Democratic cadres not to be trapped in a divisive narrative because of the plan for the duet to run aground. "We do not know that on our way to the future we may meet again and collaborate for the big national agendas. For that, I congratulate Mr. Anis Rasyid Baswedan and Mr. Muhammad Iskandar who have just declared a pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the future, good luck," said AHY.
