Chairman Of Golkar Surabaya Leaves Prayers Of Struggle For Prabowo Subianto

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Surabaya City Golkar Party DPD, Arif Fathoni, left a prayer for the future Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto to Yasin and Tahlil recitation congregations in the City of Heroes, East Java, who made the five-guardal pilgrimage.

"We also ask for prayers from Yasin and tahlil pilgrims so that the political atmosphere ahead of the 2024 General Election remains cool," said Arif Fathoni when departing a number of buses containing Yasin and tahlil recitation congregations to make a five-guard pilgrimage in Surabaya, quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 3.

According to him, the five-guard pilgrimage is routine once a week. Usually, his party entrusts prayers to pilgrims so that the struggle of the Golkar Party to win the hearts of the people of Surabaya is given convenience by Allah Swt.

However, this time his party also left a prayer to the congregation to pray for the presidential candidate promoted by the Golkar Party, namely Prabowo Subianto, to be given convenience and smoothness in winning the hearts of the Indonesian people.

"Facing the challenges of an era that requires a president with criteria owned by Prabowo Subianto," said Toni, his nickname.

Cak Toni said that Prabowo's figure for society is familiar. Prabowo is a patriot who has a great value of love for the nation and state.

In fact, he continued, Prabowo is close to all groups, including the kiai in East Java.

"This is a figure who can unite all the nation's energy to welcome Indonesia Gold 2024," said this member of Commission A of the Surabaya City DPRD.

In addition, he continued, the Golkar Party also asked for prayers from Yasin and Tahlil pilgrims, so that they could become cool and soothing political pioneers, through prayers at the mustajabah place.

"May Allah Swt. give us pleasure so that the political atmosphere remains cool because political competition is only a race for goodness, goodness for the nation and state," he said.

Toni said that the world's efforts had been carried out through the installation of billboards, meeting residents, social media socialization, and so on. Internal efforts have also been carried out through the activity of dispatching the five-guardi pilgrimage.

"We believe in the election about how to win the hearts of the people, and only Allah Almighty is turning people's hearts around," he said.

According to the KPU schedule, registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates will start from October 19, 2023 to November 25, 2023.

In Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections (UU Pemilu) it is stated that pairs of presidential/vice-presidential candidates are proposed by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in the election who meet the requirements for obtaining seats of at least 20 percent of the total seats in the DPR or obtaining 25 percent of the nationally valid votes in the previous election for members of the DPR.

Currently, there are 575 seats in parliament so that the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pair in the 2024 presidential election must have at least 115 seats in the DPR RI. It could also be that the candidate pairs are promoted by political parties or a combination of political parties participating in the 2019 Election with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
