SAR Team Stop Searches For Missing West Acehnese In Rubber Forest

The Banda Aceh Basarnas Team Pos Meulaboh stopped the search for Samanan (81 years), a grandmother of Suak Nie Village, West Aceh Regency who was suspected of missing in a rubber plantation area in a local village on Thursday (24/8).

"Based on the results of our evaluation and analysis, until now there have been no signs of the victim's whereabouts, so we have stopped the search for the official victim," said Meulaboh Post Basarnas Coordinator Rahmat Kennedi in Meulaboh, Friday, September 1.

Rahmat Kennedi said the search for Samanan was stopped after coordinating and deliberating with the victim's family.

According to him, search efforts can be reactivated or carried out if signs of the victim's whereabouts are found.

He said that currently Samanan (81 years old), a resident of Suak Nie Village, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency, has been missing since Thursday (28/8). After the Basarnas Team together with the community, TNI, Polri, West Aceh BPBD conducted an effort to search for victims since a few days ago.

Efforts to search for victims were carried out by combing rubber plantations in Suak Nie Village, Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency and surrounding locations.

However, after a few days of searching, the victim Samanan, who was reported missing, has yet to be found.

Rahmat Kennedi said that during the search effort, the team found clues that allegedly belonged to the victim Samanan in the form of sandals, but the whereabouts of the victim is not yet known.

Dengan telah dihentikan upaya pencarian oleh Tim Basarnas Pos Meulaboh dan pihak terkait lainnya, kata dia, pihak keluarga korban telah menerima keputusan tersebut dan telah dilakukan doatan di rumah korban.
