PKS Says There Will Be A Meeting In The DPP Regarding The Anies-Cak Imin Duet

JAKARTA - PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera said his party would hold a meeting to explain the political cooperation between the NasDem Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) which brought the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) pair in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"There will be a detailed explanation (Anies-Cak Imin duet), but in the PKS DPP," said Mardani as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 31.

Even so, the member of the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR did not explain in more detail about the planned meeting. He hopes that the meeting can be held in the near future.

"Pray for it soon," he said.

When asked about the reaction of the Democrats who were angry with the unilateral agreement made by the Chairman of NasDem Surya Paloh, Mardani asked all to have good prejudice.

Because, according to him, the Anies-Cak Imin duo is still in its early stages and has not been inaugurated.

Not only that, PKS will also announce further political steps regarding the offer to support the prospective PDI-P presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.

Previously, Secretary General of Democrats Teuku Riefky Harsya said the collaboration between the NasDem Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) to carry the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) pair was a unilateral agreement.

"This approval was carried out unilaterally on the initiative of the Head of the NasDem General Chairperson, Surya Paloh," Teuku said in a Democratic press release received in Jakarta, Thursday.

Teuku said the information regarding the approval of the political cooperation between the NasDem Party and PKB was obtained by his party from Anies Baswedan spokesman Sudirman Said.

"Yesterday (30/8), we received information from Sudirman Said, representing the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan, that Anies had approved the political cooperation between the NasDem Party and PKB to carry the pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar," he said.

Today, continued Teuku, his party confirmed with Anies. Then, the presidential candidate from the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) confirmed this information.

Responding to this, the Democrat Party will hold a meeting of the Party High Council. The meeting agenda is to make the next decision regarding the party's attitude in the KPP.
