Suspects In Corruption Cases At Bima City Government Prevented From Going Abroad

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law (Kemenkumham) to prevent suspects in cases of gratification and procurement of goods and services at the Bima City Government, NTB. He certainly cannot travel abroad.

"It is true that we prevent them from traveling abroad," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 31.

Prevention is carried out for six months. The goal is to expedite the investigation of the ongoing case.

"The letter has been submitted to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights against one person," said Ali.

Ali explained that this prevention will take effect for the next six months from August. "And even then it can be extended again for the needs of the investigation process that we are currently carrying out," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK searched M. Lutfi's office on Tuesday, August 29. The search was related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods and services as well as gratuities within the Bima City Government.

The KPK has not detailed the suspects in this case. The search for evidence is still being carried out by conducting a search.

However, information circulated that one of those involved in this corruption case was the Mayor of Bima M. Lutfi. This allegation emerged after the anti-corruption commission carried out a new investigation.
