Son Of AKBP AH Persecutor Ken Admiral Sentenced To 1.5 Years In Prison

MEDAN. - The panel of judges at the Medan District Court, North Sumatra, sentenced AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan (AH)'s son, Aditiya Hasibuan, in the case of assaulting the victim Ken Admiral.

"In addition, the defendant Aditiya paid compensation to the victim or family (restitution) amounting to Rp52 million on a tiered basis with AKBP Achiruddin Hasibuan, a subsidiary of two months in prison," said Chief Judge Nelson Panjaitan at the Medan District Court as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 31.

He said the panel of judges agreed with the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office regarding the defendant's actions as stated in the first indictment, subsidiary to Article 351 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and the second 406 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

"The thing that burdens the defendant's actions is that the victim was injured, while the mitigating factors for the defendant have never been punished," said Nelson.

Responding to the verdict read out by the panel of judges, both Public Prosecutor Rahmi Shafrina, the defendant and his legal adviser (PH) Ali Piliang expressed their thoughts of making legal appeals against the decision.

In the indictment, on Sunday 11 December 2022 at around 16:00 WIB, the victim's witness sent a message via Instagram message to the defendant to ask what the relationship with witness Savira Husna who was a close friend of the victim. Then the victim cursed the defendant through the message.

On December 21, 2023, the defendant saw the victim at the Tasbi I Complex in Medan. Then at around 02.30 WIB, Ken Admiral and his friend went to the defendant's house on Jalan Guru Sinamba Medan, to ask for compensation and account for the beating.

Then, the defendant came out with witness Nico Setiawan with Achiruddin and others. Furthermore, the defendant came to the victim's witness and then between the victim's witness and the defendant was involved in an argument, at that time the defendant hit the victim's head and face.
