KPK Searches Houses In Gorontalo Looking For Evidence Of Alleged Corruption In The Ministry Of Manpower's TKI Protection System

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched houses in the Gorontalo area today. The search was related to the alleged corruption of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

"The investigative team conducted a search at one of the houses with the address on Jl Merdeka or Jalan Taki Niode IPILO Gorontalo," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, August 29. Ali has not detailed the search results. The process is still ongoing and the findings obtained will be submitted to the public afterward.

Meanwhile, based on information obtained, the search was carried out at the house of a former bureaucrat at the Ministry of Manpower, Reyna Usman. He is one of the parties who has been prevented from leaving the country in this case.

As previously reported, the KPK said that there were three suspects named in the corruption case at the Ministry of Manpower. Although the KPK has not yet submitted it, the Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly involved.

The value of the information system procurement project that is suspected to be the result of the perpetrators reached around Rp. 20 billion. Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata said that this system was allegedly corrupted until it could not be used to monitor migrant workers.

"Those who can only use computers to type and so on. However, the system itself is not running," he said to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, August 24.
