Offended, Farmers Brutally Kill Men In Indragiri Hilir

INHIL - A man died covered in blood after being brutally murdered by a farmer in Tanjung Mutiara Hamlet, Simpang echo Village, Gaung District, Indragiri Hilir Regency (Inhil), Riau. The brutal stabbing incident occurred on Wednesday at around 10:00 WIB.

Kapolres Inhil, AKBP Budi Setiawan through the Head of Pidum Polres Inhil, Aiptu Hermanto explained, the perpetrator was A (54), while the victim was a man named DH (30). The victim was sitting on the side of the road at that time. At that time the perpetrator passed by and heard the conversation of the victim talking about himself.

Unable to accept the victim's words, the perpetrator who was about to go to work immediately slashed the victim's legs and neck until it almost broke.

"The victim was stabbed with a machete in the back of the neck and in the leg. At that time the victim's mother saw the suspect slashing the victim's legs and neck. As a result, the victim died covered in blood," said Hermanto, Thursday, June 27.

Hermanto explained that the perpetrator had threatened to slash the victim's mother. However, the attempt failed because the victim's mother had given birth. "After the stabbing, the perpetrator immediately left the location and the victim who had died covered in blood," he said.

It was later discovered that the motive for the perpetrator was to kill the victim because he was hurt. The victim has been dating the perpetrator's child and does not want to be responsible and is reluctant to marry her.

"The perpetrator was successfully secured along with evidence of a machete used to slash the victim. The perpetrator was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 15 years in prison," he concluded.
