Prabowo And Erick Thohir Attend PAN's 25th Anniversary Celebration

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto and SOE Minister Erick Thohir attended the opening ceremony of Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the National Mandate Party (PAN) at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta.

Erick arrived at the location of the event at 18.54 WIB then followed by Prabowo at 18.57 WIB.

Both were greeted by high-ranking PAN officials, one of whom was the Secretary General of the PAN DPP Eddy Suparno in the hotel courtyard.

Erick and Prabowo were immediately escorted in by Eddy to the VVIP waiting room and both did not answer media questions when asked for comment on their presence.

Gerindra and PAN are currently members of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) which carries Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

PAN officially supported Prabowo during the joint Golkar declaration event in Jakarta on August 13, 2023. Thus, currently Prabowo received support from his parties, Gerindra, PKB, PAN, and Golkar.

Meanwhile, for Prabowo's companion proposal, PAN consistently offered the name Erick Thohir as a candidate for vice president.

However, so far Prabowo has not announced the future vice presidential candidate, nor will other presidential candidates, namely Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan.

The commemoration of PAN's 25th Anniversary was held centrally at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on August 28, 2023. In the series of Anniversary events, there were technical guidance activities that were attended by prospective PAN legislative members from Aceh Province to Papua.

The chairman of the PAN 25th Anniversary Committee, Zita Anjani, explained that this activity was a place for the consolidation of PAN cadres starting from the central, provincial, to the branch level.
