"The handover of the fine money will take place at the Class IIB Banda Aceh Detention Center. If the fine is not paid, the convict will serve a subsidiary sentence of six months in prison," said Lukman.

Previously, Abdullah was arrested by personnel from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) along with three other people, namely Hamdani, Samsul Bahri, and Hasan Basri, in February 2015 for possession of more than 78 kilograms of methamphetamine.

At the trial at the Banda Aceh District Court, Abdullah and three other defendants were sentenced to death. Then they filed an appeal, but rejected by the Banda Aceh High Court.

Then they made an appeal to the Supreme Court, and the panel of judges sentenced Abdullah to 20 years in prison. Meanwhile, the convict Hamdani, Samsul Bahridan Hasan Basri, was still sentenced to death.
