Edi explained that thefood estate program in the local district itself started in 2020 with an intensification activity of 20 thousand hectares spread across 11 sub-districts.

"Intensification is an activity carried out on existing land. This means that land that is usually planted by farmers," he said.

Then the food estate intensification activity will continue in 2021 covering an area of 13 thousand hectares and 2022 covering an area of 502 hectares.

"So the total food estate intensification activity in Kapuas Regency is 33,500 hectares spread over 11 sub-districts," he explained.

Currently, he continued, a team from the Ministry of Agriculture is monitoring and evaluating the implementation of afood estate in the local area.
