JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has again reviewed the prices of a number of basic necessities at Brahrang Market, Binjai City, North Sumatra.

The President said that the price condition of basic commodities in the market was well monitored.

"I see that the price is good. Earlier onion was Rp. 20,000, some were Rp. 22 thousand, I think the price was good because in Java I remember Rp. 24 (OUS) to Rp. 26 (OUSt). good, the price is good, in Java Rp. 24-26 (rib), here Rp. 20-22 (one thousand) is good," Jokowi said in a written statement from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.

Jokowi said there was an increase in premium rice prices. However, the price of chicken meat in the market shows a good number.

"There was a slight increase in rice in premiums, but earlier what I checked was premium. The price of chicken meat is also good here, the price is IDR 24-26 (IDR 26), good," said Jokowi.

During his visit to the market, President Jokowi was accompanied by the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi and the Mayor of Binjai Amir Hamzah.
