Chairman Of Gerindra DKI Riza Patria Yakin Prabowo Wins In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Party DPD Ahmad Riza Patria said that Gerindra Party candidate Prabowo Subianto will not only win nationally, but also in DKI Jakarta.

As the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Riza admitted that he would try to win Prabowo Subianto in the capital city in the upcoming presidential election contestation (pilpres).

"Of course DKI is important, the presidential and presidential candidates are here and it is important, God willing, Pak Prabowo will not only win nationally, but also win in Jakarta," Riza said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.

This was conveyed by Riza at the declaration of the Garuda Volunteer Movement (GRPG) for Prabowo at the Prabowo 08 Volunteer House, West Jakarta. At the event, the GRPG officially declared its support for the Minister of Defense.

General Chairperson of the GRPG Major (Ret.) Edi Sutardi said that his party had formed volunteers supporting Prabowo Subianto in 20 provinces of Indonesia.

"The most existing is now in Java and Sumatra. We will be even more enthusiastic to strengthen movements in remote areas of other provinces, such as Kalimantan and Papua," said Edi.

The retired Special Forces Command (Kopassus) also invited all volunteers to embrace each other and not conflict with other presidential candidates.

Edi said that all presidential and volunteer candidates have the same goal, namely to build a better Indonesia in the future.

"That's what Pak Prabowo showed. Volunteers should not be the fiercest, instead they must be close to the community," said Edi.

Meanwhile, Riza Patria as Chairman of the GRPG Board of Trustees said he was happy with the increase in Prabowo's supporting volunteers.

"We hope that all of us with the presence of these volunteers can be part of Pak Prabowo's victory," he said.

He hopes that volunteers will fight to win Prabowo. In addition, he also asked volunteers to participate in keeping Indonesia's political conditions conducive and cool in the 2024 presidential election contestation.

"Of course, our hope is that this volunteer will be an active part of cooling the political atmosphere throughout Indonesia, in addition to of course its task of providing positive information, about politics, presidential elections, elections, and also about presidential candidates, especially Mr. Prabowo Subianto," added Riza.
