KKB Shoots Residents And Burns Buildings In Ilaga

JAYAPURA - An armed criminal group (KKB), Wednesday night, shot Lukman, a kiosk guard in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.

In addition to shooting residents, KKB also burned buildings in Nipuraturme Village, Ilaga District.

The victim Lukman was shot in the right side of the head. The victim, said Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Kombes Pol. Faizal Rahmadani was quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.

Kombes Faizal said that his party could not confirm which group the shooter was from.

The victim was shot while serving the perpetrator who pretended to buy at his stall using a short-barreled firearm.

The Head of the Puncak Police, Kompol I Nyoman Punia, separately said that the victim's condition was stable and conscious.

Scheduled for Thursday (24/8), said Kompol Punia, the victim will be evacuated to Timika for further handling.

Previously, on Tuesday (15/8), the KKB attacked the 300/Bjw Raider Battalion Task Force Post in Gome, then on Wednesday (16/8) another shootout occurred in Gome, one soldier suffered a gunshot wound.

On Thursday (17/8), KKB burned down residents' houses and BTS towers in Ilaga.
