Lukas Enembe Allegedly Purchased A Private Plane Using Gratification Money

The defendant in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to the Papua infrastructure project Lukas Enembe underwent a trial (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the gratuity money received by the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe has become a number of assets. One of them is a private jet.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said this allegation was investigated by a witness, Abdul Gopur, who is a private employee. He was questioned on Tuesday, August 22.

"Witnesses were present and their knowledge was investigated, including the alleged purchase of private jets by suspect LE," Ali said in his statement to reporters, Wednesday, August 23.

Ali did not elaborate further on the purchase. However, it is suspected that Lukas often traveled abroad by using planes for his various purposes.

Previously reported, Lukas allegedly received bribes from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijatono Lakka. Meanwhile, gratification is allegedly given by other private parties in order to get projects in Papua.

Tak hanya itu, Lukas dijerat dengan dugaan pidana pencucian uang. Langkah ini dilakukan setelah komisi antirasuah mengembangkan kasus suap dan gratifikasi yang menjeratnya.

Regarding money laundering, 27 of Lukas' assets were confiscated by the KPK. Among them are money worth Rp. 81,628,693,000; 5,100 US dollars; and 26,300 Singapore dollars; assets in the form of land and buildings; as well as precious metals.
