JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Asep Kuswanto, said that the ticket for motorized vehicles that have not or did not pass the emission test in Jakarta will be enforced on September 1. "We are working with the Polda Metro Jaya, POM TNI, the plan is to hold an emission test ticketing as of September 1, 2023," said Asep at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 22. Previously the ticket was applied, the DKI Provincial Government together with the police and the TNI conducted a trial of the implementation of the emission test ticket. Currently, coordination is being carried out regarding the SOP and the mechanism for the implementation of the emission test ticketing.," said Asep. Asep hopes that later the emission test system owned by DLH can be directly connected to the Polri's electronic ticketing system. "We will introduce our emission test data with the Police ETLE. So that later it will be caught if it is fined, it will not be tested for emission, so that it will be double the sanctions," said Asep.

On the other hand, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will also issue a governor's instruction requiring all vehicles, both service and personal, to pass the emission test. "Those who do not pass the emission test cannot park in their respective offices," added Asep.
