East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat asked Kupang Mayor Faharnsy Priestly Funay to continue to maintain the cleanliness of the city in order to provide comfort for the community in carrying out various activities. "Pak Gubernur Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat saat menyerahkan SK ( surat keputusan) sebagai jabat kota Kupang telah meminta agar masalah kebersihan Kota Kupang dihatikan secara serius, sehingga masyarakat merasa nyaman dan sehat," kata Faharnsy Priestly Funay usai ditangkan Viktor Laiskodat di Kupang, NTT, Antara, Selasa, 22 Agustus. During the handover of the Kupang mayor's decree, there were three things that were conveyed, namely the issue of cleanliness, street lighting, and maintaining tolerance. According to Faharnsy, still unresolved waste management will still be the concern of the Kupang City Government in the next year, including the involvement of the Kupang City State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in handling waste. "We certainly tidy up ASN's participation in waste management again. ASNs do not have to take to public roads every day to pick up trash, but the time will be arranged again. Maybe it will be done in the afternoon, because when you go down to pick up trash in the morning it will interfere with services for the community if there are no employees on duty at the office," explained Faharnsy. He is committed to keeping Kupang City safe and comfortable as the most beautiful city of tolerance in NTT Province, for one year he has served as acting mayor of Kupang replacing George Melkinus Hadjoh. Faharnsy added that the Kupang City Government continues to work on building public street lighting facilities in areas that do not yet have public street lighting.

"The Governor of NTT wants Kupang City to be a bright city at night, so that street lights will soon be built to support community activities at night," said Faharnsy Priestly Funay, who is also the Regional Secretary of Kupang City.
