Immigration Handling 26 Cases Of Foreigners Violating Stay Permits In NTB, Deportation Sanctions And Pangkal

NTB - The Mataram Immigration Office handled 26 cases of foreign nationals (WNA) proven to have violated their residence permits.

"The case of 26 foreigners that has been revealed since the handling of January 2023 until now," said Head of the Mataram Immigration Office Pungki Handoyo in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Monday, August 21, was confiscated by Antara.

Sanksi terhadap pelanggaran izin tinggal tersebut, imigrasi menerapkan tindakan aksi administrasi berupa pendeportasian dan melakukan penghentian terhadap WNA yang telah terbukti melanggar izin tinggal sesuai aturan Undang-Undang RI Nomor 6 Tahun 2011 tentang Kemigrasi.

"According to immigration regulations, we apply administrative action in the form of deportation and the name of the foreigner is included in the deterrence list," he said.

In fact, in the past month, he continued, immigration has deported three foreigners who violated their residence permits, one of which was a Dutch foreigner who was revealed to have opened a class teaching pottery crafts in the Kuta Mandalika area, Central Lombok Regency.

The immigration authorities do not blame the person concerned for opening a teaching class. However, the Dutch foreigner's permission to teach only applies in Bali.

"So, the permit concerned is only allowed in Bali. According to immigration regulations, his activities (Dutch Caucasians) in Lombok have violated the residence permit," he said.

For the female foreigner with the initials EA aged 37 years, immigration stipulates a violation of Article 75 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

Regarding the deportation sanctions, the immigration authorities have repatriated EA to its home country on Friday, August 18.

Furthermore, Pungki hopes for community support to participate in supervising foreigners. If there are foreigners who cause trouble or have a bad impact while in one community environment, he hopes to immediately report it to the immigration authorities.

"We all have to be sensitive and still care about the presence of foreigners in our neighborhood, because not all foreigners have good benefits or goals while in Indonesia," said Pungki.
