Kotim Regent Signals Drug Circulation Has Increased To Palm Oil And Mining Companies

East KotIM - Kotawaringin (Kotim) Regent Halikinnor said drug trafficking in his area has now spread to oil palm and mining companies in the local area. "The information I got has indeed penetrated the oil palm and mining companies in the Kotim area," said Halikinnor while attending the shabu destruction at the Central Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) office, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 21. His party really appreciates the performance of the Central Kalimantan Police, the local BNNP and the Kotim Police who have worked hard in eradicating drug trafficking in the Kotim area. In fact, his party will support both the budget and others related to the proposed office of the Kotim National Narcotics Agency (BNNK), with the aim of suppressing the increasingly massive drug trafficking in the city area that has entry into the city by air, sea and land. "The black zone for drug trafficking is indeed located in the Baamang and Mentawa Baru Ketapang sub-districts, the evidence is that the three people who were arrested by the Central Kalimantan BNNP with evidence of 9.2 kilograms came from the two sub-districts," he said. Halikinnor revealed that in fighting drug trafficking in the Kotim area, of course it cannot only be done by the Central Kalimantan BNNP, Central Kalimantan Police and Kotim Police only but must be supported by the local community. With the active involvement of the local community, of course, narrowing the movements of methamphetamine dealers or drug dealers who are currently still freely transacting in Sampit City. "Religious, traditional and community leaders are also advised to participate in the fight regarding this matter, because if it is not fought it is very dangerous for the nation's generation, especially in Kotim," he said. Halikinnor added, if local regulations from the province related to Prevention, Eradication, Abuse and Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN) have been completed, the local district government will also follow up, so that socialization related to prevention will continue to be encouraged to rural areas. "Prevention is very important, through socialization and it is introduced to the public the dangers of drugs, of course the community will be educated so that buyers are no longer available and it will be difficult for dealers to distribute them," said Halikinnor. Meanwhile, the Head of Eradication at the Central Kalimantan BNNP Kombes Pol Agustiyanto added that his party is also committed to continuing to eradicate drug trafficking in the local area. In fact, his party will continue to narrow the movements of dealers and dealers who live in the local area. "We will also not remain silent with this, we are even pursuing a network suspected of being in the same network as the three people we arrested in Kotim with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 9.2 kilograms," Agustiyanto explained.
