50 Percent Of DKI ASN WFH Starting Today, Provincial Government Reminds Don't Be Annoyed

JAKARTA - As many as 50 percent of state civil servants (ASN) in the DKI Provincial Government work from home starting today. In the workspace of ASN, it appears that some tables are empty. Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD), Etty Agustijani, explained that the WFH policy was carried out in order to reduce the level of air pollution and congestion during the 43rd ASEAN Summit. "According to the direction of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and the Governor, this is to welcome the summit and it is related to air pollution. Third, before this plan was implemented, there was already a plan by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform that DKI Jakarta was for pilot projects related to WFH and WFO. Etty emphasized that ASN designated for WFH are prohibited from carrying out other activities during working hours. They are also not allowed to wander outside the house and are required to wear uniforms while working. "Never mind going home, going to the market is not allowed. Mothers work using negligee while cooking while cooking while cooking when WFH is also not allowed. So they do work at home. Not to cook, but to work at home," said Etty. During WFH, ASN is required to report attendance or attendance on the pages provided every morning and evening. The mechanism for this attendance report also requires ASN to turn on the cameras and locations on their respective devices to be recorded by the system. "For example, there are employees who WFH then he wanders around and does not comply with the regulations in the provincial government, he will be BAP and then determined the sanctions by each SKPD (regional work unit) in accordance with the laws and regulations," he explained.

It is known that the DKI Provincial Government implemented a maximum WFH policy of 50 percent from August 21 to October 21, 2023. Then, specifically during the ASEAN Summit, the composition of WFH ASN was increased to 75 percent from September 4 to September 7, 2013. The mechanism for appointing ASN that implements WFH or works in the office (WFO) is determined by each SKPD.
