West Aceh Police Arrest 2 Hoarders Of 1.5 Tons Of Subsidized Biosolar Fuel

MeULABOH - West Aceh Police personnel arrested two suspected perpetrators of hoarding 1.5 tons of subsidized biosolar fuel using a box car number BL 8225-EE in a house in the Lapang Village area, Johan Pahlawan District, Meulaboh.

"The arrest of the perpetrator who hoarded the subsidized fuel without a permit was known after receiving information from the public who reported it to the police officers," said West Aceh Police Chief AKBP Andi Kirana accompanied by Head of Public Relations AKP Mawardi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.

The identities of the two perpetrators who have now been named as suspects have the initials AH and RF, residents of West Aceh Regency.

Based on information obtained from the two suspects, the perpetrator is suspected of hoarding subsidized biosolar fuel using a modified box car.

In the car there are two tandons, four jerry cans, one scale used to weigh fuel, as well as two oil pump machines and an oil hose.

"Currently, we have detained the two suspects and they still have to undergo further investigation at the Police Headquarters," said the police chief.

Until now, the police are still developing the case, with the aim of revealing who was involved in the case of hoarding subsidized fuel without permission.

In this case, the police charged the two suspects with Article 53 letter B and Article 55 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 concerning Oil and Gas of Earth, Misuse of Transportation, Storage and Sales of Subsidized / Non-Subsidized fuel oil without a permit.

Both of them also face a maximum prison sentence of six years and a maximum fine of IDR 60 billion.
