A 6-year-old Boy Drowning In The East OKU River Found Anglers Dead

SUMSEL - A six-year-old boy with the initials MA who drowned in the Komering River two days ago was found dead this morning by an angler.

"The victim was found this morning at around 06.00 WIB by residents who were fishing in the river," said Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD East OKU Budi in Martapura, Friday, August 11, as reported by Antara.

The victim's body was found floating in the river in the Taraman Village area or about 10 kilometers from the location for the first time it sank.

Receiving the report on the discovery of the body, his party together with the Basarnas team that had been formed immediately evacuated the victim's body to be taken to the funeral home.

"Currently, the body has been properly buried by the family," he said.

It is known that the victim drowned while bathing in the river in the Peganggan Village area, Belitang Mulya District with his colleague, namely IM (4).

The victim IM was first found on Thursday, August 10 morning, dead about one kilometer from the sinking site.

The search for the Supreme Court was carried out for three days by forming two teams from the East OKU BPBD assisted by Basarnas and the surrounding community.

In addition to using rubber boats, he said, the search was carried out by a team by diving in rivers equipped with adequate diving equipment.

It's just that, he said, in searching for his party, it was hampered by the swift current of the river, making it difficult for officers to find the whereabouts of the victim.
