Medan Police Satreskrim personnel arrested a perpetrator of mixing a 3 kg subsidized gas cylinder located on Cempaka Street, Delitua District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
The perpetrator is RP, the owner of an LPG gas base in Delitua District, Deli Serdang Regency.
"The disclosure of the case of mixing LPG gas was carried out on Saturday (5/8) on Cempaka Street, Deli Serdang Regency," said Medan Police Chief Kombes Valentino Alfa Tatareda as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.
Valentino said that the perpetrator deliberately transferred the contents of the 3 kg LPG gas cylinder to the 12 kg gas cylinder.
From the results of the examination, the perpetrators mixed the gas alone by first heating the 3 kg gas cylinder and employing people to move the tube that had been mixed.
"In a week, the perpetrator admitted that there were 100 gas cylinders produced. Then the profit was around Rp. 5 million to Rp. 8 million per week," he said.
As for the empty 12 kg gas cylinder, the perpetrator bought it from residents who were then sold it through a base owned by RP.
"Of course this violates the Oil and Gas Law and the Ciptaker Law," he explained.
