Gerindra Says There Will Be A Surprise When Prabowo One Stage With Budiman Sudjatmiko Next Week

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees Hashim Djojohadikusumo said that Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto will be on the same stage with PDI-P politician Budiman Sudjatmiko next week.

"Soon you can see Pak Prabowo and Pak Budiman on the same stage together. Well, that's next week. This is something that will come as a surprise," said Hashim during a virtual gathering "Fitr Briefing and Consolidation of Prabowo Volunteers" reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.

Hashim said that at first he was suspicious of the figure of Budiman Sudjatmiko who was said to be providing support to Prabowo Subianto.

"At that time I heard Mr. Budiman wanted to support Pak Prabowo. I doubt whether this is true or not. Oh, maybe there is a hoax," he said.

This suspicion, he said, was because Prabowo had previously had experience being framed in a hoax case in 2018.

"Do you still understand what happened to Ratna Sarumpaet? Pak Prabowo was deliberately framed. I can say that Mr. Prabowo's life witness was framed by people who I thought were evil at that time and Mr. Prabowo until now was sorry. Well, I'm afraid that maybe my best friend, a good person named Budiman and his friends will trap us again," he said.

However, Hashim said that after conducting a thorough investigation and holding a meeting with Budiman Sudjatmiko.

"Two hours I discussed, I was suspicious, I was very swift, 'What does this mean, is it true that Budiman Sudjatmiko, who has always been at odds with Pak Prabowo, really wants Pak Prabowo? Is that true?' I suspect, is that true?" he said.

Finally, Budiman was also allowed to bring together former Democratic People's Party (PRD) activists with Prabowo.

"Two hours I discussed with him (Budiman) and after the discussion I concluded that these people were really, really sincere and okay I would take them to Pak Prabowo," he said.

Hashim said Budiman, who is an idealist, believed that Prabowo was the right figure as a presidential candidate to lead Indonesia next.

"According to him (Budiman) for now, the future will be vulnerable and vulnerable and full of danger to the Indonesian people, he concluded that Prabowo is the right leader. The right presidential candidate compared to others. That's what he said," he said.
