2,851,697 Cigarettes Without Excise Confiscated By Surakarta Customs And Excise Destroyed 942,051 Batang Today

A total of 942,051 illegal or excise cigarettes which are evidence (barbuk) in the Surakarta Customs operation since September-July 2022 were destroyed.

Head of the Surakarta Customs Office, Yetty Yulianty, said that the barbuk was the result of the action by the Wonogiri Satpol PP, Surakarta City, Sukoharjo, Klaten, Sragen, Boyolali, and Karanganyar.

The destruction was carried out at the Wonogiri Regent's Office Hall, Central Java (Central Java), Thursday, August 10. The activity was held after obtaining permission from the Head of the Surakarta State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL).

In this illegal cigarette culling activity, Customs and Excise burned to the ground and the rest were damaged by the packaging and stockpiled in the final disposal site of Ngadirojo Wonogiri garbage.

According to Yetty, the barbuk that was destroyed today came from the entire barbuk that was confiscated from the prosecution of the Surakarta Customs from September-July 2022.

With details, the entire barbuk secured consisted of 2,851,697 illegal cigarettes and 209 liters of beverages containing ethyl alcohol. The total value of the goods is estimated at around Rp3.585 billion and the potential loss to the state is around Rp2,469 billion.

Of the number of actions, 1,909,646 cigarettes became evidence in the investigation process at the Karanganyar, Boyolali and Sragen Kejari.

Then, the remaining 942,051 illegal cigarettes and 209 liters were destroyed today.
