Allegations Of Corruption In The 2019 East OKU Bawaslu Grant Fund, The Prosecutor's Office Has Examined 55 People

A total of 55 witnesses have been examined in connection with the alleged corruption case of grant funds in Bawaslu, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU) Timur for the 2019 fiscal year.

Head of Intelligence Section of the East OKU District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Arjansyah Akbar said dozens of those examined included the South Sumatra Bawaslu Commissioner (Sumsel), the East OKU Bawaslu Commissioner, the East OKU Regency to the 2016-2021 Regent.

"When it comes to who the suspect is, we cannot confirm who the person is. What is clear is that at least one suspect will be determined immediately," he said in Martapura, East OKU, South Sumatra, Friday, August 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

The investigation team of the East OKU Kejari, he said, was still conducting a series of investigations to investigate where the flow of funds flowed.

"We hope that media colleagues will be patient. Later, when there is a determination of the suspect, we will definitely convey it," he said.

The case of alleged corruption of grant funds at the East OKU Bawaslu for the 2019 fiscal year worth Rp. 16.5 billion was used to finance the activities of conducting supervision of the local regional head election stages in 2020-2021.

Grant funds from the local government that were disbursed to the East OKU Bawaslu were based on the text of the grant agreement (NPHD) Number: 2/Mou/l/2019 and Number: 01/mou/bawaslu-Prov.SS. 12/X/2019 dated October 23, 2019.

The management and use of grant funds is allegedly not in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations so that it has the potential to cause state losses.
