BOGOR - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency, West Java, sent 10,000 liters of clean water to deal with drought in the Puncak area, precisely in Kopo Village, Cisarua, Bogor.

"Meanwhile, several clean water distribution villages have been carried out," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Bogor Regency BPBD Aris Nurjatmiko as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.

He explained that the distribution of clean water was carried out at three points, namely 5,000 liters in Sukamulya Village, 2,500 liters in RT 03/11 Cidokom Village, and 2,500 liters in RT 02/11 Cidokom Village.

As many as 10,000 liters of water, he said, could only provide assistance to 328 families consisting of 1,020 people.

Based on the records of the Bogor Regency BPBD, there are still two other villages in Cisarua that also experience drought.

"There are still two villages that still need clean water in the village," said Aris.

The drought in the Puncak area occurred due to the decrease in the intensity of rain in the area, resulting in reduced springs of residents.

"Residents have difficulty meeting the needs of clean water every day," he said.

Aris explained, in addition to sending clean water supplies, the Bogor Regency BPBD also carried out a number of handling steps, such as coordinating with local officials.

Then, take action according to standard operating procedures (SOP) for disasters, to carry out rapid disaster assessments.
