Witness Reveals Budget Disbursement At The Directorate General Of Train Needs Gasoline Money

The suspect in the bribery case of the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA official who is also the PPK of the Bandung Railway Engineering Center, Shynto Hutabarat, at the Semarang/ANTARA/IC Senjaya Corruption Court.

SEMARANG - Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Bandung Railway Engineering Center Shynto Hutabarat said there was a "gasoline money" for disbursing the project budget at the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation and the Directorate General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance.

This was revealed during the examination of Shynto as a witness in the trial of alleged bribery of the Directorate General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation at the Semarang Corruption Court, with the accused Director of PT Istana Putra Agung Dion Renato Sugiarto.

Shynto Hutabarat is a PPK that handles the Lampegan-Cianjur railway line improvement project.

According to him, the process of disbursing the Lampegan-Cianjur project budget has stalled because there has been no agreement for a multi-year contract from the Directorate General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance.

"I got information from friends in Medan, to take care of it usually requires 'gasoline'," he said in a trial chaired by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi at the Semarang Corruption Court, Monday, July 31.

The witness, who is also a suspect in the same case, admitted that he had received Rp120 million from a number of contractors in March 2023 to take care of the budget problem for four construction work packages and two supervision consultants in the Lampegan-Cianjur railway line improvement project.

Of this amount, he said, around Rp45 million had been given to the finance department and the Finance Bureau of the Directorate General of Railways.

"For those who go to the Ministry of Finance, they have not had time to be realized," he said.

Shynto Hutabarat received a total of IDR 1.7 billion from a number of contractors when he was a PPK at the Bandung Railway Technical Center.

Previously, the Director of PT Istana Putra Agung Dion Renato Sugiarto was charged with giving bribes to officials of the Directorate General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation with a total of Rp. 27.9 billion in order to obtain construction work and improve railway lines in three provinces.

The railway line projects carried out by construction service companies in the railway sector are located in Central Java, West Java, and South Sulawesi.
