Regarding The Execution Of The Bandar Sabu Couple From Mataram, NTB Prosecutor's Office: Petitions Of Decisions Can Be Implemented

The Mataram District Court (PN) has received an excerpt from the cassation decision of two convicted shabu-shabu dealers who are husband and wife named Ni Nyoman Juliandari alias Mandari and I Gede Bayu Pratama.

"So, the decision we received is still in the form of an excerpt, for the complete file has not yet arrived at the Mataram District Court," said Mataram District Court spokesman Kelik Trimargo in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Monday, July 31.

He explained that the Prosecutor's Office is currently waiting for a copy of the full decision from the Supreme Court (MA) to carry out the execution.

Separately, the spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, said that currently his party had made administrative completeness for the execution of the verdict.

"We have submitted the administrative completeness of the execution to the Mataram Kejari," he said.

Efrien said the excerpt of the verdict could be used as a provision for the prosecutor's office to carry out the execution.

"It is possible (perish the decision) for the implementation of the decision. The important thing is that the institution is issued legally," said Efrien.

As is known, the cassation judge canceled the acquittal of two drug convicts Ni Nyoman Juliandari alias Mandari and her husband, I Gede Bayu Pratama.

Citing the official website owned by the Supreme Court, the verdict numbered: 1548 K/Pid.Sus/2023. dated June 7, 2023.

In addition to canceling the acquittal, the Supreme Court judge in the verdict stated that the actions of the two defendants were proven to have violated Article 114 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

By stating this, the cassation judge sentenced Mandari to 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 3 months in prison.

Meanwhile, Bayu, the judge, sentenced him to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 3 months in prison.
