UNS Chancellor Responds To UNS Care Forum Reporting Plan To KPK

SOLO - Chancellor of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Jamal Wiwoho responded to the plan to report the UNS Care Forum to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on suspicion of corruption.

"We are perpendicular to the law," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 25.

However, Jamal was reluctant to provide more explanation regarding the reporting plan.

"Wis ngono wae, yes (just like that, huh)," he said.

Previously, a number of elements who were members of the UNS Care Forum planned to take the case to the KPK. The forum consists of UNS alumni, NGOs, advocates, students, and elements of society.

The chairman of the UNS Care Forum Diah Warih Anjari admitted that he had prepared a number of evidences of alleged corruption at UNS. In fact, in the near future his party will report the case to the KPK.

"We have prepared evidence. This week we will report it to the KPK," he said.

Diah said he had collected a number of evidences since one month ago. According to him, since the case of the Board of Trustees (MWA), which is the aftermath of the election for the chancellor, immediately investigated.

"Immediately we are moving on our concerns. Many alumni and active students are also participating," he said.

One of the student representatives of Ibadu Rahman admitted that he was concerned about what happened at UNS.

"Since the cancellation of the results of the UNS rectorial election, the widespread news about the revocation of the status of two professors, frankly, it greatly affects the atmosphere of lectures," he said.

Therefore, he hopes that the case can be resolved soon.
