NTB Governor Concerned About The Number Of ASN Involved In Legal Cases

The Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Zulkieflimansyah, expressed his concern over the number of state civil servants (ASN) in the NTB region involved in legal cases.

This statement was conveyed by the Governor of NTB in response to a number of officials detained by law enforcement officers, both the High Prosecutor's Office and the District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in local districts suspected of being involved in corruption cases.

"I am concerned about this condition," said the Governor of NTB, quoted by Antara, in Mataram on Sunday, July 23.

The Governor of NTB has reminded the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the NTB Provincial Government and all leaders of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) not to be afraid or traumatized in carrying out their duties. He reminded that their duty is a form of responsibility to the state and society.

"I've visited and asked those who were detained. It turns out that they said, the mistakes that exist are only administrative. If this is really administrative, it should be communicated in advance. Unless the mistakes are related to fatal corruption, such as taking and accepting," said Zulkieflimansyah.

The governor added that when asked the former Head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Service (ESDM) who was detained, with the initials MH, admitted that he was sure he was innocent and did not accept anything related to the iron sand mining case in East Lombok.

"During my visit to Mr. Husni (MH), he felt sure he did not accept anything. If anything, please be open to talking to the prosecutor's office. However, of course the Prosecutor's Office must also be careful and not rashly take risks. Hopefully this case will be clearly revealed in court later," he said.

The governor reminded that President Joko Widodo had emphasized that there should be no policy criminalization. However, there is currently a dilemma where some officials become afraid. President Jokowi has advised all parties to be friendly with investment and not to complicate the necessary permits.

Therefore, the Governor of NTB hopes that law enforcement officers, such as high prosecutors, Kajati, Kapolda, Police Chief, Dandim, Danrem, as well as regents, mayors, and governors, will still remind them to be friendly and friendly with investment.

In the case of an iron sand mine in East Lombok Regency, several officials within the NTB Provincial Government were also involved and have been detained by the High Prosecutor's Office. They include the Head of the NTB ESDM Service with the initials ZA, the Director of PT AMG with the initials PSW, the Head of the PT AMG Branch in East Lombok with the initials RA.

Furthermore, several other officials who were also detained by the NTB High Prosecutor's Office were the former Head of the NTB ESDM Service with the initials MH, the Head of the Class III Port Organizing Unit Office of Labuhan Lombok with the initials SI, and the former Head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Minerba Division who is currently active as the Head of the Dompu Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office with the initials SM.
