BMKG Detects 9 Hotspots To Become Karhutla Indicators In East Kalimantan Today

The Balikpapan Station's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has again detected 9 hotspots spread across East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim).

A total of nine hotspots monitored today have been informed to related parties, including the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at the provincial and local district levels in order to receive further action.

Two days earlier, Tuesday, July 18, his party also detected 15 hotspots spread across four districts, but the hotspots had already been extinguished.

Meanwhile, the nine hotspots observed today are at different coordinate points, although there are still those in the same sub-district and district.

The nine hotspots detected today are spread across three districts, namely Paser Regency with three points, Kutai Kartanegara Dua, and Berau Regency with four points.

The details are two hotspots in Kutai Kartanegara, both of which are monitored in Loa Janan District, all of which have a middle level of trust.

"Four hotspots in Berau Regency are spread over two sub-districts, namely Derawan Island District with three points, then Sedah District with one point, all of which have a middle level of trust.
