As A Result Of The Accident, Large Trucks Are Prohibited From Passing At The Madukoro Semarang Train Crossing

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) will coordinate with the local government to prohibit large trucks or the third axis from crossing the Madukoro Raya road, Semarang.

This was done by the impact of a train accident or the Brantas train hitting a truck that stopped at the Madukoro crossing.

"This means that we also ask the Transportation Agency to make this ban. You can't go forward with container types, let alone a short deck, that's the position. Indeed, this information is the third and the public has actually banned it from going here," said Director General of KA, M. Risal Wasal in his statement, Thursday, July 20.

Risal said the road was not actually intended for three-axis vehicles. Moreover, the road to the crossing is quite uphill so that long and low vehicles are prone to getting caught.

"Later we will install signs or prohibitions so that such vehicles cannot pass through here. This means that this is not a route for them. This means that he makes low decks for heavy vehicles, maybe stuck. It's a long time," he explained.

Currently, DJKA is focusing on repairing railroads and bridges that support them. He said a number of railroad pads would be replaced and the bridge structure would be temporarily strengthened.

"Strengthen it first, while so that later after the incident, this is still 2B, well, 20 km per hour. Earlier we only changed the bearings and strengthening of construction," he said.
