KPK Explores Alleged Fictitious Prices Of Selling And Buying Land At PTPN XI

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined five witnesses to investigate the alleged sale and purchase of land at a fictitious price in the investigation of the corruption case in the procurement of land for cultivation rights for sugarcane plantations at PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XI.

"It was also investigated regarding the alleged fictitious calculation of land sale and purchase transaction prices by related parties, including the suspects," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18.

Ali also said that the witnesses were also being investigated regarding land acquisition by PTPN XI in the Situbondo and Pasuruan Regencies, East Java.

The five witnesses were the Head of the Plant Cultivation Division of PTPN XI 2016-2017 Agoes Noerwidodo, Head of the Investment and Licensing Division of the Integrated Services and Investment Service of Pasuruan Regency, Alfan Nurul Huda, and a member of the Land Purchase Team for PTPN XI HGU Land (General and Asset Division) 2016 Arief Radinata.

Then the Director of Operations of PTPN for the period 2014-2017 Aris Toharisman and the Asset Staff (Division of Asset Law) of PT. Nusantara Plantation XI Agustinus Banu Wiryawan.

The five witnesses were examined by KPK investigators on Monday (17/7) at the Office of the East Java Provincial Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in Surabaya.

Previously, on Friday (14/7), the KPK announced that it had opened a new investigation into PTPN XI regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of land for cultivation rights for sugarcane plantations.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri revealed that the KPK has also named a suspect in the investigation of the alleged corruption, but has not been able to announce how many people have been named as suspects or their roles in the case.

Meanwhile, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) Persero as the parent company of PTPN Group stated that it would support all efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia.

"As a parent company in plantation and forestry clusters, Holding Perkebunan Nusantara supports efforts to eradicate corruption by law enforcers," said PTPN III Holding Director of Institutional Relations M. Arifin Firdaus in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday (16/7).

According to him, this support is in line with PTPN's commitment to always uphold the values of integrity in running the company's business.
