Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid hopes that the government will be able to maintain political and security stability during the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"First, we hope that this is the most important political stability. Second, security stability," said Arsjad Rasjid before giving directions to the campaigner for the PDI-P presidential candidate (PDIP) Ganjar Pranowo at I News Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the 5-year democratic party which falls on February 14, 2024 coincides with Valentine's Day, so Arsjad wants all parties to be happy to carry out the 2024 General Election.

"The name is love, we are happy with each other, we are both making this because all democratic parties must be calm, not talk," he explained.

Arsjad said that Indonesia's democracy has been recognized by other nations because Indonesia has the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and Gotong Royong. This makes Indonesia not easily divided because of the values that have been instilled by the nation's founders.

"We set an example for all nations abroad saying that Indonesian democracy is the top, great. We are not like the others divided, we remain united because we have the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and the values of mutual cooperation together," said Arsjad.

According to the schedule set by the Indonesian KPU, the registration of prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates will start from October 19 to November 25, 2023.
