Don't Visit The Form Of Ancol Special Committee, Observer: DKI DPRD Don't Be An Ompong Tiger

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli said that until now the Special Committee for the management and construction of facilities and facilitation at PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PTJA) has not been proposed. "Ancol Special Committee has not yet been proposed to the DPRD," Taufik told reporters, Monday, July 17. He said that Commission B would still continue meeting with Ancol. But the upcoming meeting is closed.

The meeting was chosen to be closed so that Ancol would be more free to open the data. It is possible that by the end of this month, "he explained. Responding to this, public policy observer Yanuar Wijanarko said that the Ancol Special Committee should have been formed immediately. He reasoned that the problems in managing PTJA management, including ABC Mall City, had become the attention and noise in the community.

"The DKI DPRD should immediately form a special committee. Because through this special committee, it can speed up investigations regarding allegations of management of facilities at PTJA and allegations of stalled ABC Mall City," said Yanuar.

"Don't let the DPRD speak out loud at the beginning, but when urged by the public to make a special committee, it's even like a toothless tiger. What people are worried about is that this should not come into contact with the politicization agenda ahead of the 2024 election," he added.

In addition, he said, through this special committee, the DKI Jakarta DPRD could actually reveal facts related to the issues that have been circulating so far, as well as become a tool for audits and examinations in the field.

"So don't just swallow the reports submitted by PTJA, go to the field to check the actual conditions and call related parties, including the notaries who witnessed the signing of the ABC Mall City management cooperation," he said. Regarding the status of PTJA, which is a TBK company, the public should receive information and performance reports according to existing facts.

"This is where the role of OJK is awaited by the public. Its name is an open company, so the disclosure of information on the company's performance must be conveyed to the public so that public lies do not occur," he said.
