Three Patients Died Of Drowning, Owner Of Alternative Medicine In Bogor Becomes Suspect

BOGOR - Owner of alternative medicine in Cigudeg District, AN (51) was named a suspect by the Bogor Police. The aftermath of the death of three patients who had asked him for treatment for drowning in Lake Kuari.

AN, who is also often called Ustaz, has been detained for several days by the police.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro said the determination of the suspect was carried out after conducting an intensive examination of AN for three days.

"We have raised it to an investigation and named a suspect, namely AN (51). The article suspected of 359 of the Criminal Code regarding negligence," Rio said in his statement, Sunday, July 16.

According to him, AN was the person who brought the victim to undergo treatment at the lake.

"Because he brought the person (the victim) to the lake. Currently, AN is taking us to the Resort Police," he explained.

Previously, three residents were reported drowned in Lake Kuari, Tegallega Village, Thursday night. They drowned while undergoing one of the bathing rituals on the edge of the lake.

The three victims who died were DA (20), BAD (25), and CE (25). The three bodies of the victims were finally found by the Joint SAR team on Friday, July 14.
