The Dream Of Relocation Never Arrives, Residents Of Victims Of Land Movement In Lebak Are Forced To Collapse Their Houses

BANTEN - Residents of land movement victims in Lebak Regency, Banten, are willing to knock down their houses that were severely affected.

The resident named Mahmudi (50) said the effort had to be made considering that the house building was heavily damaged so as not to cause casualties in the future. "We better knock down the house building," said Mahmudi, a resident of Jampang Cikuning Village, Sidomanik Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency, Saturday, July 15, confiscated by Antara. The house building that was torn down was because the roof and walls were split due to the 2018 ground movement disaster. House conditions are worried about collapsing, especially heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and lightning that occurred in the afternoon until evening.

"We were forced to knock down the house building and re-establish a house beside it for the family," he said. Likewise, another resident, Padma (60), admitted that he collapsed the building of his house which was affected by the movement of the land because it was no longer livable, as well as the walls and doors were heavily damaged. "We and the family are always wary and worried that their house will collapse, especially when it rains heavily," Padma said. The houses affected by the movement of the land were recorded as 42 houses with 51 families (KK). Previously, he said, as many as 76 families had been relocated by the local government to safe places from natural disaster threats. 51 families really wanted to flee to safer places. This is because most houses affected by the movement of the land were heavily damaged, there were even houses that collapsed on their own. Fortunately, he said, the incident did not cause accidents or casualties because their occupants were staying at relatives' homes. "We are re-established at the location of the house that was torn down while waiting for assistance from the local government," said Padma.

Sementara itu, Kepala Pelaksana Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Lebak Febby Rizky Pratama mengatakan pemerintah daerah hingga kini terus mengajukan pembangunan rumah hunian tetap yang terdampak bencana pergerakan tanah di Kecamatan Cimarga dan Cikulur.Tercatat korban bencana pergerakan tanah di Kecamatan Cimarga sebanyak 51 KK di Cikulur 48 KK.Selain itu juga ada korban bencana banjir bandang di Kecamatan Lebak Gedong, Cipanas, Sajira dan Curugbitung pada awal 2020 yang berharap mendapat bantuan hunian tetap untuk 378 keluarga."Semua warga korban bencana alam itu ingin direlokasi ke tempat yang lebih aman," tandasnya.
