Searching The Office, KPK Confiscates Procurement Project Documents At Muna Sultra

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a number of procurement project documents during a search on Wednesday (12/7) in a number of locations related to the investigation of bribery in the management of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) loan fund in the Muna Regency at the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2021-2022.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the locations searched by KPK investigators were the Muna Regency Goods/Services Procurement Work Unit (UKPBJ) Office, the Muna Regency Communications and Information Office, and the Muna Regency Bappeda office.

"From that location, evidence was found and secured, including documents of various procurement projects at the Muna Regency Government," Ali said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.

The document is then confiscated and analyzed to be included in the completeness of the case file.

The KPK on Wednesday (12/7) announced the determination of four new suspects in the bribery in the management of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) loan fund for the Muna Regency area in 2021-2022.

Ali said that his party had not been able to announce who the suspects were, but he gave instructions that one of the suspects served as the relevant regional head, namely Muna La Ode Regent Muhammad Rusman Emba.

"There are also parties who have been named as suspects because this is already in the investigation process, including regional heads in the district and also private parties. There are about four people named as suspects," said Ali at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/7).

The KPK will announce the identities of the other suspects and the construction of the case in the detention process.

The Regent of Muna La Ode Muhammad Rusman Emba had previously been examined by the anti-corruption agency as a witness in the development of the alleged bribery case of the National Economic Recovery Fund (PEN) of East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, in 2021.

In this case, the KPK has named several people as suspects, namely the suspect recipient, namely the former Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs Mochamad Ardian Noervianto and the Head of the Environment Service of Muna Regency La Ode Syukur Akbar.

Meanwhile, the inactive East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur, who is also a defendant in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of goods/services at the East Kolaka Regency Government in the 2021 fiscal year.

Furthermore, the KPK named two more suspects, namely the younger brother of the Muna Regent named LM Rusdianto Emba and the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of Muna Sukarman Loke Regency.
