KPK Auction For Confiscated Land From Former Muara Enim Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) through the State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) will auction off land in Palembang City for IDR 1.1 billion which is confiscated goods from the corruption convict former Muara Regent Enim Ahmad Yani.

"The KPK together and through the Palembang KPKNL will conduct an auction of looted goods from the convict Ahmad Yani based on the decision of the corruption court which has permanent legal force," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.

He explained that the object in the auction was in the form of a plot of land covering an area of 278 square meters located in Lorong Kesehatan, Demang Lebar Daub Village, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province.

The land is equipped with documents in the form of Certificate of Ownership Number 3451 and Deed of Sale and Purchase Number 35/2007 PPAT Aprizal Andri Yanto, SH as well as proof of tax deposits on the object.

The plot of land was auctioned with a limit value of IDR 1,111,851,000.00 and a security deposit of IDR 500 million.

The auction will be held with a closed bidding bidding system on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Palembang State Wealth and Auction Service Office, Palembang State Finance Building (GKN).

Prospective bidders can see the object of the auction on Tuesday, July 24, 2023, from 10.00 to 12.00 WIB according to the address of the auction object listed above.

In February 2021, the KPK executed Ahmad Yani to the Palembang State Detention Center (Rutan) based on the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 256K/Pid.Sus/2021 dated January 26, 2021 in conjunction with the Decision of the Corruption Court at PT Palembang Number: 3/PID.Sus-TPK/2020/PT Plg dated July 13, 2020 jo. Decision of the Corruption Court at the Palembang District Court Number: 32/Pid.Sus-TPK/2019/PN.Plg dated May 5, 2020.

Previously, the panel of judges cassation of the Supreme Court (MA) increased Ahmad Yani's sentence to 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison and the obligation to pay compensation of Rp. 2.1 billion.

At the first level, the Palembang Corruption Court sentenced Ahmad Yani to 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison and to pay compensation of Rp. 2.1 billion.

Ahmad Yani, through the intermediary of the former head of Road Development and Commitment Making Officer (PPK) at the PUPR Office of Muara Enim Regency, Elfin MZ Muhtar, arranged the distribution of project money in Muara Enim Regency.

Elfin has a role as an accomplice to Ahmad Yani who connects him with Robi Okta Fahlevi from the private sector or the owner of PT Enra Sari to take the role of implementing 16 work packages in Muara Enim Regency worth Rp130 billion from the aspiration fund of the Muara Enim Regency DPRD in the 2019 fiscal year.

Elfin has also been sentenced and found guilty by being sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison by the Palembang Corruption Court.
