Menpan-Mensos Discuss The Acceleration Of RB Thematics Of Poverty Eradication

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Abdul Azwar Anas and Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini discussed the acceleration of the implementation of thematic bureaucratic reform (RB) to alleviate poverty.

"Today, we have the arrival of Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini. We are talking comprehensively about how to deal with social problems (such as poverty alleviation) so that in the future it will be handled properly (via thematic RB)," said Azwar Anas as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.

Azwar conveyed that as directed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the Kemenpan RB has determined the implementation of thematic bureaucratic reform covering four clusters, namely poverty reduction, increasing investment, accelerating the president's actual priorities, and digitizing government administration.

Thus, he continued, bureaucratic reform at this time is not only focused by the government to deal with administrative governance issues, but is directed to have a direct impact on the people, including the issue of poverty alleviation.

In line with this, according to him, to accelerate poverty alleviation and the implementation of a number of tasks of the Ministry of Social Affairs, qualified human resources (HR) are needed from the central to remote areas. Therefore, he supports strengthening the human resources of the Ministry of Social Affairs, even in order to reach parties who work in the centers under the ministry.

"For example, in centers owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs that require health human resources because it becomes a place for residents who have health problems, in addition to social problems," he said.

He appreciated the increase in the bureaucratic reform index and the performance accountability system of government agencies (SAKIP) at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"There is a lot of progress that deserves appreciation related to SIKIP and bureaucratic reform at the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.

Meanwhile, Risma, Tri Rismaharini's nickname on this occasion, reminded that the increasing number of people affected the magnitude of social problems.

Therefore, according to him, various efforts are needed, such as strengthening human resources within the Ministry of Social Affairs, especially those who work in remote areas to overcome various social problems.
