PDAM Batang Jateng Alerts 6 Clean Water Trucks For Areas That Experience Drought

Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Sendang Kamulyan, Batang Regency, Central Java, has alerted 6 tanker trucks loaded with clean water to supply a number of drought-affected areas in the dry season. PDAM President Director Sendang Kamulyan Batang Yulianto Regency said his party invited people in drought-affected areas to apply for clean water assistance. "The mobilization of clean water assistance will be directed at people who are being affected by drought. Therefore, if people in drought areas who are in need of clean water can directly contact us," he said in Batang, Antara, Tuesday, July 4. In a coordination meeting on the handling of drought this year, his party was tasked with being ready to distribute the aid. "What is clear is that we are ready to distribute clean water to areas affected by drought. If there is a request for clean water assistance, we have prepared 4 tank trucks loaded with clean water," he said. According to him, each tank truck contains 4 thousand liters of clean water so that it is estimated that it will meet the needs of the community in each region, especially at this time the dry season has not yet had a severe impact on residents. To communities affected by drought, he said, they can apply for clean water supply through call center 085-4493111. Head of the Batang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, Ulul Azmi, said that currently his party continues to monitor a number of drought-prone areas and coordinate with relevant agencies such as the Social Service, Batang Police, Kodim 0736/Batang, and Regional Drinking Water Company Sendang Kalyan to map clean water scarcity. "Nevertheless, until now we have not received any information on the public's request for clean water. We have coordinated with the Regional Water Company Sendang Kalyan to deliver clean water if there are people in need," he said.

A number of drought-prone areas in Batang Regency are spread across several villages, namely Tumbrep and Wonokerto, Bandar, Penundan (Banyuputih), Gringsing, and West Kemiri, East Kemiri, and Jatisari sub-districts, Subuh District.
