JAKARTA - Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives encourages the re-establishment of BP (Conseling Billing) or BK (Conseling Bill) teachers in schools to anticipate incidents of bullying or bullying. With the right guidance, it is hoped that students can get good moral education.

"In the past, as far as I know, there were BP teachers such as counseling guidance. Right now it doesn't really work. Even though this counseling guidance is very necessary," said Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Dede Yusuf, Tuesday, July 4.

Dede underlined the bullying of students of SMPNegeri 2 Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency, Central Java, with the initials R (13) who set fire to his school. The school's burning student case is known to be triggered by heartache because he is often bullied or bullied by his friends.

The former Deputy Governor of West Java also said that the role of counseling guidance in the era of information disclosure should be further improved. Dede assessed that guidance or counseling can not only be done by teachers, but can also be assisted by students who are interested in the field of psychology and have received training.

He added that victims who experience bullying have a traumatic side that allows for gloomy acts or even retaliation that may be beyond human reason. For that, said Dede, bullying must be anticipated because this is a serious problem.

"What I see is that children who are victims of bullying are burdened. Let's say the victim could be traumatized, he could also eventually retaliate," he said.

Dede said that bullying or bullying often occurs due to three things. First, because of the wide 'openness of social media information', it creates the perception that doing this has a great and cool impression.

"Of course the role of information that or we call it social media, TV coverage that tends to make bullying justification so that children see how cool it is that we can bully other people," explained Dede.

Furthermore, the second is because the function of'supervision' is carried out by two parties, namely teachers and parents. According to Dede, currently there is no proper collaboration between teachers and parents in paying attention to children's growth and development.

"We see now that the relationship between parents and teachers is getting less and less due to various factors. It is as if if parents leave their children at school, it will be school's job, even though character education starts from home," said the legislator from the West Java II electoral district.

Dede said that the role of parents and teachers who are not in line can also lead to other negative sides. Like the lack of understanding when children make mistakes and get punishment from school.

"So that in the end the teacher did not dare to do the supervisory function or impose sanctions for fear of being subject to human rights (HAM) or maybe reported to the authorities," explained Dede.

Meanwhile, the third factor is that bullying is called because currently many schools only prioritize science education. Dede stated that many schools today do not prioritize character education.

"And of course we see the lack of character education and morals factors. There are still many schools that only encourage or prioritize cognitive education without encouraging moral education," he said.

On the other hand, Dede also believes that punishment for bullying or bullying needs to be done. This aims to provide a deterrent effect for these perpetrators.

"If we talk about children under the age of teenagers, the category is children under 18 years old, then of course the sanctions are educational sanctions," explained Dede.

"But if you are an adult over 18 years old, we call it an incident on campuses that has entered legal channels. There is already a law," he added.
