Central Sulawesi Sigi Regency Government Provides Additional Incentives For Teachers In Remote And Farest Regions

SIGI - Sigi Regency Government, Central Sulawesi, provides additional incentives for teachers and health workers who carry out education and health service tasks in remote and farthest areas. "Yes, this incentive is a form of government concern and appreciation to teachers and health workers who work in remote areas," said Sigi Regent Mohamad Irwan in Sigi, Antara, Tuesday, June 27. This incentive is one of the priority programs organized by the Sigi Regency Government. Based on data, in 2016-2020, the Sigi Regency Government has disbursed a budget of more than Rp. 8 billion for teacher incentives. Then, in 2021, a budget of IDR 360 million for 150 teachers will be disbursed for four months. The Sigi Regency Government also provides two-wheeled vehicles to support teacher activities in providing education services in remote areas. Data from the Sigi Regency Government said that since 2016-2020, 67 units of two-wheeled vehicles have been handed over to teachers with a budget of more than Rp. 1 billion. Meanwhile, for incentives for health workers, the Sigi Regency Government has disbursed a budget of IDR 7.5 billion since 2016-2020. For 2021-2022, incentives for health workers of IDR 1.2 billion have been distributed. The Sigi Regency Government has also built a doctor's official residence and health workers, which since 2016-2020 has built eight official houses in eight sub-districts with a budget of more than IDR 6 billion. In addition, health workers also receive assistance from two-wheeled official vehicles for health workers who work in remote areas. Since 2016-2020, 112 official vehicles for health workers have been distributed with a budget allocation of IDR 2.3 billion.
